EMPLOYMENT TOOLS

A simple but quite useful tool when job hunting is to have a prepared job application to copy from when filling out an employer’s application. By taking the time to completely & accurately fill all the spaces with the correct information at home without the pressures of the staff or receptionist looking at you, will create a cleaner, more complete job application. You will have time to ensure the 3rd grade teacher you had was Mrs. Hunter & that you can find the address & phone number of the school or past employment, instead of guessing. When obtaining the new job application for a job, using your cheat sheet will allow you to concentrate on your penmanship, enter the information in the correct boxes or spaces, & allow you to be neater. Your information will be correct & complete & you will complete the application faster. You will appear smarter & better prepared than other applicants. Best of luck.

WMDT DIGITAL SWITCH COMING SEPTEMBER 27

Digital sets and converters will receive strongest signal ever

WMDT-TV, the ABC affiliate serving the Delmarva Peninsula from Salisbury, will transition from traditional “analog” broadcasting technology to new digital technology on September 27, 2008. It will be among many stations around the United States switching early, before a required February 17, 2009 final deadline for conversion to digital and shut-off of analog stations.

The switch from analog to digital, including digital high-definition television (HDTV) broadcasting capability, was mandated on a timetable initiated by the Congress and The Federal Communications Commission about 10 years ago. Presently, WMDT broadcasts both analog and digital signals.
